Mary Elizabeth Hornsby Bloodworth

MARY ELIZABETH HORNSBY BLOODWORTH, age 85, of Clarkesville, GA, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009. Mrs. Bloodworth was born on July 26, 1924, in Fulton County, GA to the late Roy M. and Gussie Stone Hornsby. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Bloodworth, brother, Roy Fredrick Hornsby (Infant) and sister, Martha H. Hemperly. Mrs. Bloodworth was a member at Hazel Creek Baptist Church and was a devoted and dedicated employee with Citizens and Southern National Bank, E. Point, GA with 18 years of service. Survivors include brother, James C. Hornsby, Hendersonville, TN, nieces, Elaine Sugg, Tyrone, GA and Gina Dekins, Nashville, TN; and Nephew Joe Hornsby, Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Hazel Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Trent Smith and Rev. Paul Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
