Mary Freda Bishop

MARY FREDA BISHOP, age 78, of Clarkesville, GA passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 following extended illness at her residence. Mrs. Bishop was born in Greensboro, NC on July 13, 1932, to the late Edward and Ethel Flintom Spivey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Bishop, daughter, Hope Bishop, brothers, Richard and Gray Spivey and a sister, Linda Thompson. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Clarkesville Baptist Church. She was retired from the John Harland Company with 21 years of dedicated service. Survivors include husband, Jerry R. Bishop, Clarkesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Candy Bishop, Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Kristen and her husband Will Lewis and Kenny Bishop and great-grandson, Connor Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at the Clarkesville Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Walden officiating. All family and friends should meet at 3:30 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Tucker, GA, for the interment. The family will receive friends at the Life Center at Clarkesville Baptist Church at 11:00-11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, just prior to the funeral hour.
