Mary Ann Franklin Knight

Mary Ann Franklin Knight, age 67, of Hollywood, GA, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Knight was born on May 4, 1941 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Harold and Martha Womack Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Knight, her son, Jeffery Dodd, and a step-sister, Brenda Stover. Mrs. Knight was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills. Survivors include: her sons: Randall Wade and Shane Dodd, both of Clarkesville, GA; her step-mother: Katherine Franklin, Toccoa, GA; her step-daughter: Karen Banks, Gainesville, GA; her step-son: Rodney Knight, Gainesville, GA; her sisters: Linda Campbell, Anderson, SC; Sue Stone, Dew West, SC; Donna Brown, Clarkesville, GA; her step-sister: Sherry Franklin, Clarkesville, GA; her brother: Jimmy Franklin, Mt. Airy, GA; her step-brothers: Randy Stover, Clarkesville, GA; Terry Stover, Clarkesville, GA; Jerry Stover, Toccoa, GA; her grandchildren: Bridget Williams, Tori Dodd, and Jordan Dodd; her step-grandchildren: Creighton Knight, Kinsey Knight, Jordan Banks, and Jacob Banks; her great-grandchild: Parker Williams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell and Rev. Michael Welborn officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
