Marie Jones Fowler

MARIE JONES FOWLER, age 77 of Toccoa, Georgia formerly of Habersham County and Banks County, Georgia died Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Mrs. Fowler was born in Habersham, Georgia on April 26, 1931 to the late Howard and Hattie Chitwood Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Felix "Buck" Jones and William "Bill" Fowler, and a grandson, Stanley Simmemon, as well as brothers, James Clifford Martin, and Charles Thomas Martin. Mrs. Fowler was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn Jones Taylor, Seneca SC and Sue Jones Simmemon, Cornelia, GA; sons, James "Jimmy" Jones, Cornelia, GA and Kenneth "Edward" Jones, Franklin Co., GA; sisters, Susie Bell Norton and Mary Francis Knight both of Cornelia, GA; brothers, Curtis Martin, and Jack Marin, both of Demorest, GA, Lewis Martin, Cornelia, GA and Robert Martin, Gainesville, GA; thirteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Level Grove Cemetery with Rev. Rich Hulsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008 and again from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2008.
