Marguerite Morris Dalton

MARGUERITE MORRIS DALTON, age 71, of Hollingsworth, GA, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at an area medical center. Mrs. Dalton was born on March 1, 1937 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Hollis E. and Dorothy L. Ward Morris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Sheridan. Mrs. Dalton was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Banks County Red Hat Hens and was retired from Banks County Senior Center as Sight Manager with 35 years of service. Survivors include: her husband: Milton L. Dalton, Hollingsworth, GA; her son and daughter-in-law: Rickey E. and Kathy Sheridan, Hollingsworth, GA; her step-sons and their wives: Perry and Tracie Dalton and Alan and Vickie Dalton, both of Hollingsworth, GA; her sister and brother-in-law: Betty and Ray Bond, Commerce, GA; her brother: J. D. Morris, Commerce, GA; her grandchildren: Drew, Cole, and Kelan Dalton all of Hollingsworth, GA; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Phil Ferguson and Rev. Brian David officiating. Interment will follow in the Banks County Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Reynolds officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 1695 Hwy 441 North, Homer, GA 30547, or to Mt. View Baptist Church, 1035 Harmony Church Road, Baldwin, GA 30511.
