Margie B. Fry

MARGIE B. FRY, age 85, of Demorest, GA died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Fry was born in Stephens County, GA on July 11, 1922 to the late Lawrence and Dollie Higginbotham Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Calvo Fry, two granddaughters, Elaine Garner, and Teresa Fry, one grandson, Ronnie Maloy and three brothers, Waco, Lynn, and Buster Smith. Mrs. Fry was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Piedmont College Cafeteria after some forty years of dedicated service. Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law; Linda & Paul Skelton, Demorest, GA; Myrle & Charlie Rodriquez, Demorest, GA; and daughter, Shelby Harris, Austell, GA; sons & daughters-in-law, Alton Sr. & Ruth Fry, Clarkesville, GA; Sherrill & Rosalie Fry, Clarkesville, GA; and son Bruce Fry, Demorest, GA; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Miller and Rev. J.R. Elrod officiating. Mrs. Fry will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. to lie in state until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
