Margie Diane Canup Jackson

MARGIE DIANE CANUP JACKSON, age 67, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Mrs. Jackson was born in Clarkesville, Georgia on August 17, 1945, to the late Herman and Margie Free Canup. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a homemaker. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Stonepile Baptist Church, Clarkesville, Georgia. Survivors include loving husband of 46 years, Warren D. Jackson, Alto; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Victor Anderson, Cornelia, Shannon and Jon Jensen, Greenwood, NY; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jeanette Armour, Alto, Gary and Jennifer Jackson, Jefferson and Michael and Kellie Jackson, Mt. Airy; sisters, Barbara Bramlett, Toccoa, Ruthie Matheson, Clarkesville, Mary McKee, KoKomo, Indiana; brothers, Jacky Canup, Clarkesville and Gary Canup, Young Harris; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Monday June 17, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
