Margaret H. Macgregor

MARGARET H. MACGREGOR, age 80, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Ms. MacGregor was born on October 31, 1932, in Halifax County, North Carolina; daughter of the late John David and Mabel Jordan Hazelwood. She was also preceded in death by her son, Sherwood Reed Jenkins, III. Ms. MacGregor received her Master's Degree in Nursing and Anthropology from the University of Virginia. She was a professor of Psychiatric Nursing at Piedmont College. Ms. MacGregor was of the Episcopalian faith. Survivors include her sister, Betty Hazelwood Spence, Weldon, NC; daughter, Peggy Jenkins Oberholzer and family, Duxbury, MA; cousin, Doris Warren Lyles, Weldon, NC; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Ramsey Creek Preserve in Westminster, South Carolina, with The Rev. James A. Clarke officiating.
