Mae King Savage

Mae King Savage, age 80, of Demorest, GA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at local area hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Savage was born born on May 19, 1939, to the late Gus and Lillie King, in Haddock, Ga. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Savage and a brother, Dr. Leonard King. Mrs. Savage was retired from Scovill Fastners with many years of loyal and dedicated service. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jimmy Smith, Demorest, GA; son, Michael Savage, Demorest, GA; sister, Shirley Long, Atlanta, GA; brother, Bob King, Blairsville, GA; grandson, Jared Smith, Demorest, Ga; 2 great-grandsons, Connor Wilson and Easton Smith. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, October 11, 2019, at the Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest, GA, with the Rev. Josh Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm.on Friday, prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Mt.
