Luther Bryant "L.B." Thomas

Luther Bryant "L.B." Thomas, age 83, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 following an extended illness. Mr. Thomas was born on January 27, 1937 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to the late Marion William and Mrytie Greene Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Kerry Thomas,Calvin Thomas, and he was one of the last of his immediate family. L.B. was a very hardworking man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He was known to many as "Pop", Survivors include his loving wife, Sarah Gene Brock Thomas, of Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Christine Thomas, of Danielsville; daughter, Wanda Moon, of Oglethorpe; son, Clyde Thomas, of Winterville; son, Marvin Thomas, of Oglethorpe; brother, Leonard Thomas, of Athens; seventeen grandchildren, forty five great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Chad Parker and Mr. William Thomas officating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the funeral home.
