Lucille Martin Cagle

Lucille Martin Cagle, age 82, of Homer, Georgia passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Mrs. Cagle was born in Banks County, Georgia on May 6, 1929, to the late Burie and Mae Reems Martin. In additional to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, P.L. Cagle, sisters, Sally Hardy, Addie Stewart, and Ruth Simmons and a brother, Roy Martin. Mrs. Cagle was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Dayle and Paul Thompson, Suwanee, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pat Cagle, Sr. Tignall, GA; a sister, Bessie Dooley, Homer, GA; five grandchildren, Larry Cagle, Jr., Lavonia, GA, Leslie and Steve Dills, Homer, GA, Eden Victoria Thompson, Suwanee, GA, Dennis and Brandi Cagle and Tracy Cagle both of Elberton, Georgia; six great- grandchildren, Kyle Dills, Owen Dills, Carrigan Dills, Landon Cagle, Bryson Cagle and Zayden Cagle Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Luke Parson officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Ground Cemetery, Franklin County. The Cagle family will accept friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel. Arrangements are in care of Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
