Lt. Robert "Bob" Louis Williams

LIEUTENANT, ROBERT "BOB" LOUIS WILLIAMS (RETIRED NAVY), age 77, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Emory University Hospital. Lt. Williams was born on March 6, 1932 in Demorest, Georgia to the late Robert Walter and Alice Pease Williams. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters Degree. Lt. Williams was retired from the United States Navy with 26 years of dedicated service to his country. He was retired from North Georgia Technical College as a Photography Instructor with 18 years of service. Lt. Williams was a member of the Clarkesville Baptist Church and was an organ donation advocate. Survivors include: his wife: Sara S. Williams, Cornelia, GA; his daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Lynn Williams and Earl Covington, Atlanta, GA; Cassie and Jon Mark, Cornelia, GA; his son: Robert "Bob" G. Williams, Suwanee, GA; his sister: Margaret H. Williams, Demorest, GA; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Mary 14, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Grady Waldon officiating. Interment will follow in the Demorest City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and again from 6 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
