Loy N. Palmer

LOY N. PALMER, age 81, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at his residence. Loy was born in White County, on January 26, 1931, to the late Willis F. and Susie London Palmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Turner, Cora Lee Pruitt, brothers, Robert, Marvin, and Jimmy Palmer. Loy was a member at New Bridge Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce Maxwell Palmer, Cleveland, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Linda Palmer, Cleveland, GA; sisters, Lois Broadnix, Thomaston, GA and Velva Nell Palmer, Gainesville, GA; sisters-in-law, Lillian Westmoreland and Barbara Palmer, both of Cleveland, GA; and three grandchildren, Kendall Greene, Aspen Greene and Houston Palmer. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012, at New Bridge Baptist Church, Cleveland Georgia with Rev. Phillip Robinson, Rev. Deron Cain, Rev. Lewis Fortner and Mr. Stanley London officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
