Louise Davis

LOUISE KIDDER DAVIS, age 93, formerly of Elmira, NY, passed away on November 17, 2008 in Demorest, Georgia where she had resided for the past 8 years to be nearer to her family. Mrs. Davis was born on April 3, 1915 in Orwell, Vermont, to the late William H. and Anna Beckhorn Kidder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Davis, in 1975. Louise retired from the Family Court of the State of New York, Monroe County. She was a member of the Grace Calvary Episcopal Church. Survivors include: her son, John V. Davis and his wife Candace of Sautee, GA; her granddaughter, Martha Louise Davis Durrance and her husband Bobby of Lake Wales, FL; her grandson, John V. Davis, Jr. and his wife Christy of Winter Haven, FL; her great grandchildren, Katherine (Kate) Louise Durrance, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Claire Durrance, Emory Lee Davis and Robert Martin Davis. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Grace Calvary Episcopal Church. Interment will follow in Elmira, NY at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, from 7 until 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008.
