Lillie Ruth Jackson Black

Lillie Ruth Jackson Black, age 61, of Baldwin, GA, surrounded by her family and friends, went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 following an extended illness. Mrs. Black was born on August 3, 1954 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Marvin Aaron and Roberta Dodd Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Burrell. She is survived by her son, Bobby Black, Homer, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Richard Robinson, Cornelia, GA; sister, Diane Jackson, Lula, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Faye Jackson, Alto, GA; brother, Aaron Jackson, Lula, GA; great-niece and great-nephews, whom she loved as they were her grandchildren, Brice Wiley, Kane Wiley, and Rosemary Wiley. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
