Lillie Mae Standridge Lockman

LILLIE MAE STANDRIDGE LOCKMAN, age 84, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Mrs. Lockman was born in White County, Georgia on July 4, 1929 to the late Joseph and Mary Thomas Standridge. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Lockman, daughter, Linda Lockman Hardman, son-in-law, John Howard Hardman and eleven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lockman was a member of Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church. Also was a member of AARP and a homemaker. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ashley Moody, Maggie Valley, NC and Mary and Forrest Derochie, Hiawassee; son and daughter-in-law, John Wesley and Margaret Lockman, Mt. Airy; sister, Betty Lucas, Buford; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to one's choice.
