Lillian Manley Gordon

LILLIAN MANLEY GORDON, age 91, of Baldwin, and formerly of Toccoa, GA died Friday, August 08, 2008 at a private care facility. Mrs. Gordon was born in Franklin County, GA on March 4, 1917 to the late Gilmore and Mary Aby Bryant Manley. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy Garland, and her sister, Ethlyn Chatham Mrs. Gordon was a member of the Zebulon Baptist Church and a seamstress. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Ed Taylor, Mt Airy, GA; son and daughter-in-law, James and Barbara Gordon, Altoona, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Tom Wells, Ft. Mill, SC; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2008 3:00 p.m. at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Brian James officiating. Burial will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ed Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
