LILA CRENSHAW FERGUSON, age 93, of Baldwin, GA, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mrs. Ferguson was born on November 6, 1913 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Jesse and Chalcie Parson Crenshaw. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Fay Ferguson, her sisters, Margie Wade, Sallie Thompson, Mae Morris, Dessie Potts and Laura Echols as well as her brothers, Felton Crenshaw, Pierce Crenshaw, and Curt Crenshaw. Mrs. Ferguson was the oldest member of the Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: her sister, Minnie Turner, Alto, GA; Numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. Aubrey McEntire and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tony Royston officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
