Lester Brock

LESTER BROCK, age 81, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Mr. Brock was born on March 17, 1932, in Floyd County Georgia, to the late Dewey Joseph and Ruth Manchester Brock. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Ross Andrew Brock and Stephen Carey Brock and granddaughter, Rachel Briannah Brock. Mr. Brock attended Fairfield Baptist Church; he was a Mason, member of the Kennesaw Lodge #33 F. & A.M.; former Scout Master of Cub Scout Troup #721 in Marietta, GA. Mr. Brock was a retired meat cutter with Quality Foods and formerly employed with Publix, Kroger, Food Giant, Matthews Food Store and Food Warehouse. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years Peggy B. Brock, Alto; daughter, Alicia Ann Brock Wells, Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Deb Brock, Alto; brother, Alvin Brock, Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Ashley Brock, Emily Brock, Eli Brock, Caleb Brock, Jessi Wells and Olivia Wells. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Keith Allison officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
