Leora Meeks Saville Ivie

LEORA MEEKS SAVILLE IVIE, age 93, of Cornelia, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on, December 18, 2015. Mrs. Ivie was born on July 28, 1922 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Roy Maison Meeks, Sr. and Violet Arminda Woodall Meeks. She attended Lyman Hall High School in Gainesville, Georgia and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Ivie was also retired from Mount Vernon Mills. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, CJ Saville, Sr.; and Freeman Ivie. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Clifford "Chip" and Joan Saville, of Cornelia; step-son and spouse, Glenn and Gail Ivie, of Clarkesville; step-daughter and spouse, Cindy and Kirk Brookshire, of Dawsonville; sister, Rosa Maddox; brother, Al Meeks;grandchildren, Angie Saville White and her husband, Rodney, Shannon Brookshire, William Brookshire, Matt Ivie, and Clay Ivie; great grandchildren, Tayler White, and CJ White. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Shannon Irvin and Rev. Greg Purcell officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015.
