Laray Arbogast

LaRay Arbogast, age 82, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Ms. Arbogast was born on August 24, 1932 in Northumerland, PA. to the late Truman E. and Jaffela Maurer Kahler. She was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, a retired employee of Habersham Hardware with 20 years of service, and was known throughout the area for chair caining and crocheting. In addition to her parents, Ms. Arbogast is preceded in death by her son, Troy Earl Arbogast; sisters, Betty Bridges, Barbara Sietz, Lorena Crabbe; brothers Lee Kahler, and Truman Kahler. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Ronald Fauver, of Mt. Airy; daughters, Trudi Livingston, of New Market, MD., Christi Segars, of Homer; son and daughter-in-law, Carl Edward and Ellen Arbogast, of Burkburnett, TX .; 12 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Charles Crabbe officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. to the funeral hour on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
