Kenneth Steven Martin

KENNETH STEVEN MARTIN, age 52, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Emory University Hospital of Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Martin was born on June 25, 1958, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Curtis and Patricia Martin of Cornelia, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Martin then went on to be an electrical engineer with Boeing Aircraft, Thorne EMI, and the Ampex Corporation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia and was active in the Baptist Student Union when he attended Georgia Tech. Survivors, in addition to his parents include, his brothers, William Victor Martin, Plano, TX and Robert Ellison Martin, Atlanta, GA and one niece, Caroline Martin, Plano, TX. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia, with Rev. Steve Doran officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., just prior to the graveside service, on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
