At home with his family, KENNETH D. HOLCOMB, 75, entered Heaven with the Lord Jesus, Friday evening, January 5, 2007. "A Celebration of Life Service" will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2007, from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Robin Martin and David Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday evening. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father B. F. "Frank" Holcomb and a grandson, Nate Pullium. He lived most of his life in Habersham County. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Kenneth was employed as the Parts Manager and Salesman for Stovall Tractor Company then serving as Chief Magistrate and Probate Judge from 1984 to 1992. He was a devoted Christian and member of the "Rock of Habersham." Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a cherished friend to those knew him well. Ken is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; his mother, Mima Lou Holcomb; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Garnelle Holcomb; his daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Tom Jones; grandson, Matt Holcomb; granddaughter, Rachel Ivy Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Jane Holcomb; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Lynn Reed; sister-in-law, Jackie Maness, and several nieces and nephews.
