Karle Fredrick Maxwell, age 51, of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Maxwell was born in Tampa, Florida on June 20, 1960. He was preceded in death by his wife Melody Burrell Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell graduated at Bob Jones University and received his master's degree from Clemson University. He was Minister of Music at Return Baptist Church for 10 years. Mr. Maxwell served as an Administrator in the Habersham County School System for over 25 years. He started in the Habersham County School System in 1986, as a music teacher. Mr. Maxwell also served as Assistant Principal and Principal at, Clarkesville Elementary, North Habersham Middle, Baldwin Elementary, and Hazel Grove Elementary Schools. He was currently Assistant Principal at the Hilliard Wilbanks Middle School in Demorest. Survivors include parents, Karle and Helen Maxwell, Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Kayla Maxwell, Mt. Aity, GA; sons, Kyle Maxwell and Kris Maxwell both of Mt. Airy, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Ali Maxwell, Chandler, AZ; brother, John Maxwell, Salt Lake City, UT; and one grandchild, Destyni Banks. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Return Baptist Church Cemetery.
