Karen Jean Thornburg Turpin

KAREN JEAN THORNBURG TURPIN, age 69, of Talluha Falls, GA formerly of McDonough, GA passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009. Mrs. Turpin was born in Toccoa, GA on January 12, 1940 to the late Clyde and Alys Carey Thornburg. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jackie Thornburg. Mrs. Turpin was a retired secretary from the Clayton County School System. Survivors include husband, Stan L. Turpin, Talluha Falls, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Doug Chirillo, Westminister, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Cecile Turpin, Perry, GA; brother, Clyde Thornburg, Bend, Oregon; step-sister, Barbara Smith, Cherokee County, GA; 2 grandchildren, Bryan Chirillo and Alysa Chirillo. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from the Toccoa City Cemetery.
