June W. Smith

June W. Smith, age 81, of Cleveland, Georgia, formerly of Lithonia, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was born on June 21, 1936, in Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter of the late Stewart and Leona Warren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vella Warren. Mrs. Smith was a retired day care teacher. Her greatest love, however, was that of being a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Thomas I. Smith of Cleveland; daughter, Deborah Jo Smith of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Cindy Smith of Oakwood; grandchildren, Anastasia Smith and Jon Smith; and great-grandchild, Oliver Smith. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Dr. Roy G. Rogers officiating. Entombment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the funeral hour on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the funeral home.
