Julia H. Cobb

JULIA H. COBB, age 89, of Cornelia, Georgia formerly of Hollywood, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 following a sudden illness. Mrs. Cobb was born in Demorest, Georgia on July 25, 1921, to the late Robert Daniel and Nora Elizabeth Hicks Hollifield. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Hubert B. Durham, her 2nd husband, Rev. John Cobb, her brother, Robert T. "Bud" Hollifield and her sister, Ruby Lee Taylor. Mrs. Cobb was a member of the Clarkesville Church of God and retired from Ethicon, a Johnson and Johnson Company. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Clorinda Durham, Demorest, GA, and Al and Pat Durham, Cornelia, GA; sisters, Eleanor Mote and Francis Moody both of Cornelia, GA; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Tim Tanner and Rev. Johnny Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
