Jon Bonnette

Jon Bonnette, age 53, of Douglasville, and formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Mr. Bonnette was born in Aiken S.C., on August 2, 1959. He was the son of Virginia Knight Bonnette and the late Rev. E.O. "Del" Bonnette. Mr. Bonnette was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He was a self employed painter. In addition he was a talented musician having been with the Travis Tritt Band for 13 years and also Lynard Skynard, Charlie Daniels and other Nashville artists. Survivors in addition to his mother are his daughters, Victoria Fuller Bidez, Douglasville, GA and Jessica Bonnette, Dawsonville, GA; sister, Freida Bonnette Alexander, Clarkesville, GA; brother, Joel Bonnette and fiancé, Tammy Johnson, Dahlonega, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Eulanne Bonnette and Ed Lyle, Hollywood, GA; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are schedule for Friday, September 7, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the Clarkesville Mill Concert Hall with Rev. Shawn Smith officiating. A private family burial will be held later. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at 6-8 p.m. at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
