John D Wiley

John Dillard "J.D." Wiley, age 82, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, following an extended illness. Mr. Wiley was born in Banks County, Georgia on October 6, 1929, to the late Henry and Mattie Eubanks Wiley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Gerrin Wiley, and three sisters, Edna Epperson, Mary Chitwood, and Louise York. Mr. Wiley was of the Baptist Faith and retired from William Wrigley Company. Survivors include special friends, Paul and Lois Patterson, Gainesville, GA and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Perry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville, Georgia with Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. The Wiley family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45p.m. just prior to funeral service. Arrangements are in the care of the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
