JOHN THOMAS NORMAN, age 68, of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away peacefully following an extended illness on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Mr. Norman was born in Panama City, Florida on February 13, 1945, to the late Cornelius and Kizzie Simmons Norman. As a distributor for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, he was known locally as the "Newspaper Man". Survivors include his wife, Patti Norman, Mt. Airy; son, John Thomas "Tommy" Norman II and spouse Gloria, Jacksonville Beach, FL; sister, Imogene Sanford, Crawfordville, FL; grandchildren, Lauren Norman and Timothy Norman. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Mr. John Thomas Norman II officiating.
