Joe Neal Moore

Joe Neal Moore, 80, of Cornelia, GA previously of Calhoun, GA, passed away on December 4, 2019 surrounded by those he loved. Mr. Moore was born May 22, 1939 in Harlan, KY to the late Rex Moore and Georgia Trochio. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Joe brought joy to everyone he met. As a Vietnam Veteran, Mr. Moore was proud of his service and of his country. He was also an avid Bulldog fan, and the only thing he enjoyed more than a Bulldog win was spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Moore; parents, Rex Moore and Georgia Trochio; Stepfather, Bill Trochio; and brothers, Robert and Sammy Moore. He is survived by his wife, Gail Moore; children and spouses, Thomas and Tina Bright and Christy and Ryan Brooks; 11 grand children and 4 great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life in Mr. Moore's honor on December 14, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Plainville Church of God of Prophecy 3348 River Bend Rd SW Plainville, GA 30733 with visitation with family beginning at 2:00 p.m. All friends and family are invited to attend, share your memories, and celebrate the life and joy brought to us by Joe.
