Joanne Ballew Cameron

Joanne Ballew Cameron, age 74 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020. Mrs. Cameron was born on Monday, May 7th, 1945 in Alto, Georgia to the late Robert E. and Marie Stephens Ballew. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Alan H. Cameron, Robert (Bobby) Cameron and grandson, Michael Preston Cameron. Mrs. Cameron was a good wife, mother, grandmother, seamstress and a wonderful baker. She was a member of Alto Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Henry C. Cameron, Cornelia, daughters, Gina Cameron, Cornelia, Marcia Cameron Benton, Cornelia, sisters, Joyce Meyers, Janelle Purdy, Janet Green, Jackie Ballew, grandsons, Christopher Cameron and Robert Henry Benton. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alto Congregational Holiness Church 801 Alto Congregational Church Road, Alto, GA 30510.
