JoAnn Williams Moore, age 66, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, better known as "G-Ma" to her family, passed away on June 16, 2010, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Moore was born on February 1, 1944, in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Doyle and Sally Ruth Tench Williams. Mrs. Moore was also preceded in death by her son, Casey Moore; her brother, Tommy Williams; and her sisters, Ruth Thomas and Cora Lee Key. She was a member of Baldwin Congregational Holiness Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Moore loved singing, working with flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John Alvin Moore, Mt. Airy, GA; her daughters, Lisa Gibbs, Mt. Airy, GA, Molly Hicks, Demorest, GA, and Rachel Moore-Dover, Clarkesville, GA; her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Ann Moore, Cleveland, GA; her sisters, Annette Canup, Mt. Airy, GA, Carolyn Canup, Mt. Airy, GA, and Ethel Rickman, Eastanollee, GA; her brothers, Alvin Williams, Carnesville, GA and Junior Williams, Demorest, GA; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Baldwin Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell and Rev. Kendall Mann officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery in Mt. Airy, GA with Rev. Eric Hulsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
