Jo Ann Wade

Jo Ann Hix Wade, age 63, of Helen, Georgia formerly of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Mrs. Wade was born on March 4, 1954 in Hall County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Hix. Mrs. Wade was a member of Good News Baptist Church and she loved her Lord. She was retired from Wrigley's with 35 years of service. Mrs. Wade loved making handmade crafts and gifts for her family and friends. She enjoyed reading and was a former member and past President of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Wade loved her family and cherished her friends. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Jimmy W. Wade, of Helen; parents, Silas and Alice Loggins Hix, of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Meghan Wade, of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Tonya Hix, of Alto; grandchildren, Karsen Wade, Cody Wade, Hallie Chestnutt, and Erin Chestnutt; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Shirley Anglin officiating. Interment will follow in the Alto C.H. Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the funeral home prior to the service.
