Jo Ann Broome

JO ANN BROOME, age 51, of Demorest, Georgia, died Friday, October 03, 2008 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Ms. Broome was born on April 26, 1957 in Pulaski County, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Broome and a sister, Dorothy Chayka. Ms. Broome was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include: her mother: Marjorie Whitfield Broome, Homer, GA; her daughter and son-in-law: Shana and Jeff Tanksley, Mt. Airy, GA; her son and daughter-in-law: William and Christie Plum, LaPlace, LA; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Debbie and Ricki Blackwell, Homer, GA; Arlene and Jorge Ramirez, Clarkesville, GA; her brothers: Jimmy Broome, Orlando, FL; Boyd Broome, Homer, GA; brother and sister-in-law: William and Kathy Broome, Homer, GA; Her grandchildren: Haley Plum, LaPlace, LA; Chesney Tanksley, Mt. Airy, GA Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell, Rev. Austin Kelley, and Rev. Kenneth Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
