Jimmy Lee Allen

JIMMY LEE ALLEN, age 61, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010. Mr. Allen was born on May 28, 1949, in Habersham County, Georgia to Martha Sosebee Allen of Clarkesville, Georgia and to the late Frank Allen. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Jean Burton and Brenda Lee Sweeten. Mr. Allen was self employed and of the Baptist faith. Survivors, in addition to his mother, Martha, include the mother of his children, Stevie Allen, Clarkesville, GA; daughters, Brenda Sue Allen and Amanda Franklin, both of Clarkesville, GA; son, Frankie Allen, Clarkesville, GA; sisters, Evelyn Sweeten, Rita Addis, and Elaine Burton, all of Clarkesville, GA; brother, Phillip Allen, also of Clarkesville, GA; and 4 grandchildren, Cody Franklin, Nicole Franklin, Amber Allen, and Dylan Allen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Tony Goss, Rev. Kenneth Taylor, and Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
