Jim H. Goss

JIM H. GOSS, age 87, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at a private care facility following an extended illness. Mr. Goss was born on May 28, 1925, in White County, Georgia; son of the late Jessie James and Omie Bell Black Goss. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lee Goss and his sisters, Lou Rose Dyer and Lillian Littleton. Mr. Goss retired from Habersham Mills with 46 years of loyal and dedicated service. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his loving wife, Irene Carter Goss, Demorest, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Bill Hulsey and Sylvia and Walter Poole, all of Demorest, GA; sisters, Jeanette Adams, Acworth, GA and Lura Mae Crumley, Douglasville, GA; grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Lisa Hulsey and Jason and Julie Poole; great-grandchildren, Brandon Hulsey and his wife, Ashlee, and Bradley Hulsey; and one great-great-grandchild, Braydon Hulsey. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Garvis Kinsey and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the funeral home.
