Jewelle Belle House Reed

JEWELLE BELLE HOUSE REED, age 92, of Cornelia, GA and formerly of Atlanta, GA, died Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Reed was born on June 29, 1914 in Winder, Georgia to the late William and Clara Hill House. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sanford Reed, Sr. and a son Robert G. Reed. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Cornelia Christian Church. She was a member of the AARP, the Eastern Star, and the Bell South Pioneers. Mrs. Reed was retired from Bell South Telephone Company. Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-law: Barbara and Ken Holcomb, Cornelia, GA; Daughter: Jackie Maness, Alpharetta, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law: Paul and Lynn Reed, Demorest, GA, Sister: Miriam Merritt, Snellville, GA; Brother, Jack House, Gainesville, GA; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Terry Rice and **David Terrell officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday from the Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Winder, GA. Those wishing to attend the graveside services should meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
