Jessie Wheeler Smith

Jessie Wheeler Smith, age 86, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016. Mrs. Smith was born on November 27, 1929 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Duke and Dona Poston Wheeler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Randall Smith and daughter-in-law, Judy Wilson Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Belton Baptist Church. She was a retired lab technician with Carwood Manufacturing with over 40 years of service Survivors include son, Jerry Randall Smith, Lula, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Jearold and Crystal A. Smith, Lula, GA; grandchildren, Alex Smith, Sabrina McMullan, Gracie Smith; and great-granddaughter, Maddie McMullan. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm., Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Tony Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Belton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the funeral home.
