Jerry Thompson

JERRY THOMPSON, age 83, of Clarkesville, GA, died Sunday, February 8, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Thompson was born on September 2, 1925 in Cumming, GA to the late Rafe and Clyde Samples Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Marie Denson Thompson, a son, Robin Thompson, and his brothers, Charles Thompson and James Thompson. Mr. Thompson was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from General Motors Corporation after 28 years of dedicated service. Survivors include: his daughter and son-in-law: Sheryl and De Wood, Clarkesville, GA; his son: Dan Thompson, Sautee, GA; his sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Gail Thompson, Cumming, GA; Howard and Tammy Thompson, Clarkesville, GA; his brothers: Lamar Thompson, Clarkesville, GA; Johnny Thompson, Sautee, GA; Gene Thompson, Mt. Airy, GA; Mackey Thompson, Cumming, GA; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from the Stockbridge City Cemetery.
