Jean Mccrackin Ward

JEAN MCCRACKIN WARD, age 61, of Mt. Airy, GA died Thursday, December 31, 2009, at her residence. The daughter of the late J. C. McCrackin, she was born in Chamblee, Georgia on July 3, 1948. Mrs. Ward held a specialist degree in education and was a teacher in the Habersham County School System with 29 years service. She was presently teaching at North Habersham Middle School. Survivors are her husband, David L. Ward of Mt. Airy, GA; her mother, Winnie McCrackin of Mt. Airy, GA; sons and daughters in law, Chet and Amanda Ward of Meansville, GA and Matt and Debbie Ward of Mt. Airy, GA; grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth and Katelyn Ward, Joshua, Caleb, Luke and Thomas Ward; several half sisters and brothers. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2010, at Glade Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Justus and Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
