JEAN STRICKLAND, age 63, of Cornelia, GA, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Strickland was born on September 11, 1943 in Butts County, Georgia to the late William Ester and Verde Lee Jeffries Mitchell. Survivors include: her husband: Dean L. Strickland, Sr., Cornelia, GA; her daughters: Gloria Denise Maddox, Helen, GA; Gloria Deanna Standridge, Gillsville, GA; her sons: Dean Strickland, Jr., Cornelia, GA; Daniel Strickland, Cornelia, GA: her sister: Lynn Bates, Jackson, GA; 6 grandchildren: Adam Strickland, Andrew Strickland, Brittany Strickland, Mitchell Standridge, Anna Maddox, Madison Standridge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. Bill Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in the V.F.W. Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday
