Jason Ronald Mote

.JASON RONALD MOTE, age 30, of Demorest, Georgia, died Saturday, April 5, 2008. Mr. Mote was born on September 24, 1977 in Stephens County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Erford Lee Mote and his great-grandparents: General Ezekiel Mote, Marenda Stamey Mote, Noah Martin, Beatrice Ivey Martin, Talmon Standridge and Irene Standridge. Mr. Mote was a 1996 graduate of the Habersham Central High School; there he played basketball for four years. He attended the Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church. Mr. Mote was a self-employed carpenter and residential contractor and loved to fish. Survivors include: his parents; Ronald and Vickie Mote, Demorest, GA; his sister: Sarah Beth Mote, Demorest, GA; his sister and brother-in-law: Rhonda Mote Church and Aaron Church, Clarkesville, GA; his niece: Allie Church, Clarkesville, GA; his paternal grandmother: Nancy Lurlene Martin Mote, Demorest, GA; his maternal grandparents: J. D. and Rutheleen Hooper, Demorest, GA; his maternal great-grandmother: Hazel Woods Hooper, Batesville, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Ronald Wilson, Rev. Wayne Hicks, and Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
