Janell H. "Townsend" Cook

JANELL H. "TOWNSEND" COOK, age 84, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Habersham Medical Center. Mrs. Cook was born on June 10, 1927, in Dacula, Georgia; a daughter of the late Raleigh and Mattie Mahaffey Hill. She was also preceded in death by her son, Eddie Townsend and seven siblings. Mrs. Cook was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church and owned and operated a beauty salon. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Willard W. Cook, Clarkesville, GA; daughter, Wanda Wehunt, Lawrenceville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Amelia and Victor Morris, Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cook was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Hollywood Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Dingus officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
