James Logan Wilbanks

JAMES LOGAN WILBANKS, age 89, of Mt. Airy, GA passed away Friday, May 1, 2009. Mr. Wilbanks was born in June 15, 1919 in Stephens County to the late Robert Baker Wilbanks and Elizabeth Yearwood Wilbanks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Stamey Wilbanks, brothers, Lowery Wilbanks, J.B. Wilbanks, and Ernest Wilbanks. Mr. Wilbanks was a member at Return Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII with Cannon Company 128th Infantry. He was retired from Schnadig with over 25 years of dedicated service. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Wesley Watkins, Mt. Airy, GA; grandchildren, Kathy Watkins and Fiance', Kevin Ingram, Mt. Airy, GA; and great-grand-grandchildren, Jada Ingram, Mt. Airy, GA. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Walter Burrell and Rev. Greg Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to The James L.
