James Simmemon

James Simmemon, age 56, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016. Mr. Simmemon was born on June 25, 1960 in Habersham County, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Grace Simmemon; and J.B. and Omie Ferguson. Mr. Simmemon was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church and was also a member of The Joseph Habersham Chapter Sons of The American Revolution . He was a United States Navy Veteran, and was employed with Mar Jac Poultry Company. Survivors include his parents, Grady and Linda Ferguson Simmemon, of Alto; son, Paul Piszcz, of New York; sister and brother-in-law, Kimberli and Keith Dailey, of Alto; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Teresa Simmemon, of Alto. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in the B.C. Grant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Parker officiating and with full military honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard, Habersham County American Legion Post #84, Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, Rabun County DAV Chapter #15. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Habersham County Veterans Wall of Honor, P.O.
