James Jackson "Jack" Anderson

James Jackson "Jack" Anderson, age 71 of Alto, Georgia went to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Anderson was born in Habersham County, Georgia, on July 17, 1936 to the late Josiah James and Jimmie Edna Chapman Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson: Harrison P. Wiggins. He attended Baldwin Baptist Church since his childhood. Mr. Anderson was in the U.S. Army where he was on the International Marksman Team. He was the owner and operator of Anderson Gulf Station for 23 years and retired from Ken Bar as a sales representative. Survivors include: his beautiful, beloved wife: Sarah Foster Anderson, Alto Georgia; one son: Andrew Jackson "Drew" Anderson, Alto, Georgia; two stepdaughters: Melissa Wiggins Robinson, Leesburg, Virginia, and Meredith Wiggins-Garcia, Demorest, Georgia; one sister: Peggy Anderson Nestler, Gainesville, Georgia and seven grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Daniel Parker and Rev. Craig Lee officiating. The burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
