James R. Howard

James R. Howard, age 81 of Demorest, GA died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at a private health care facility. Born in White County, GA on June 1, 1925, Mr. Howard was a son of the late Daniel R. Howard and Icie Turner Howard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Julia Warwick Howard. Mr. Howard was a retired farmer and a member of Cleveland Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include: his daughter and son in law: Vera and Vince Wood of Demorest, GA; and his son: Daniel R. Howard of Demorest, Ga . 2 Sisters and brothers in law: Juanita and Cecil Crumley , Jean and Bill Lindsey, all of Cleveland, GA. 2 Brothers and sisters in law: Rev. L. G. and Hazel Howard of Cleveland, GA and Edwin and Sylvia Howard of Duluth, Ga. 1 Granddaughter and her husband: Kelly and Roy Carr of Dahlonega, GA. 2 great grandsons: Clayton Carr and Jacob Carr. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, March 12, 2007 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. William Cox and Rev. L. G. Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, after 11 a.m. Sunday.
