James Harold Skelton

James Harold Skelton, age 62, of Demorest, GA passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Skelton was born on December 15, 1947, in Habersham County, GA to the late Curtis Lee and Annie Bell Canup Skelton. Mr. Skelton was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. He proudly served as a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Before becoming disabled, Mr. Skelton was with Carmet. Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Skelton, Demorest, GA; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lamar and Lois Skelton, Clarkesville, GA, Troy and Carolyn Skelton, Mt. Airy, GA, and Jerry and Dale Skelton, Cleveland, GA; his brother, Bruce Skelton, Cleveland, GA; and five nephews and five nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Keith Allison officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
