James L. Erwin, Jr.

JAMES L. ERWIN, JR., age 61, of Cornelia, GA died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Erwin was born on December 25, 1944 in Habersham County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lewis Erwin, Sr. Mr. Erwin was a member of the Mud Creek Baptist Church and was a poultry farmer. Survivors include, his wife, Janice Maxwell Erwin, Cornelia, GA; his mother, Norena Gulley Erwin, Cornelia, GA; his daughter: Karen Erwin, Cornelia, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Deron and Rhonda Erwin, Cornelia, GA; his son: Brent Erwin, Cornelia, GA; Sisters: Mary Waldrip, Lawrenceville, GA; Joan Gerrin, Hollywood, GA; Annie Ruth Banks, Demorest, GA; Jean Gailey, Baldwin, GA; Brothers: Jimmie Erwin, Clarkesville, GA; Randall Erwin, Hollywood, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. Verner London and Rev. Henry Grady Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Mud Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Garrison officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
